Alessandro Fracanzani

Founding Partner and CEO

Between 2016 and 2017, Alessandro was an operating partner of Apollo Global Management, supporting their distressed credit strategy in Italy. From 2005 to 2016, Alessandro held roles in the investment banking and fixed income divisions of Credit Suisse where he originated, executed, structured and managed principal investments in illiquid securities, with a particular focus on insolvency compositions, distressed claims and tax receivables. From 2002 to 2005, Alessandro worked at Citigroup in the securitisation team, acquiring and managing non-performing loan portfolios. Alessandro graduated from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice with a degree in Business Administration and holds an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management. Alessandro is an Italian Certified Accountant and Auditor.

 

Roberto Maiello

Partner

From 2010 to 2017, Roberto worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse where he executed and structured several landmark transactions in M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and strategic derivatives. Roberto graduated from Bocconi University with a degree in Business Administration and an MSc in Accounting, Financial Management and Control. Roberto also holds an MSc in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Claudio Callegari

Operating Partner

From 2014 to 2017, Claudio was at Hanson Asset Management where he originated, structured, executed and managed principal investments on behalf of family office clients and targeted special situation opportunities in Southern Europe. Prior to this role, Claudio worked at 2R Capital, an investment company focused on distressed investments in Italy. From 2004 to 2008, he held roles in debt capital markets and structured credit at Bank of America. Claudio graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics, he holds an MSc in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Alessandro Acquaviva

Director

Before joining Apeiron in 2023, Alessandro was at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento, managing fundraising, investments, and strategic business development activities from 2020 to 2022. Previously, he worked at Morgan Stanley Investcorp Geo-Risk, a global macro hedge fund based in New York. Between 2013 and 2018, Alessandro worked as an investment banker with Credit Suisse. He holds a BSc in Business Administration & Management and an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University. Alessandro is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Risk Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.

Andrea Graziani

Director

From 2018 to 2023, Andrea worked at illimity Bank where he was responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of distressed debt investments. Previously, he was at Generali Investments focusing on alternative fixed income transactions. Andrea started his career as a lawyer at Allen & Overy working on debt capital markets transactions including standalone bonds and debt programmes, liability management and private placements. He graduated in Law from Roma Tre University and Bocconi University and holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi. Andrea is a CFA Charterholder.

Ivan Zonno

Vice President

From 2020 to 2022, Ivan worked at Seaport Global Holdings, where he was involved in high yield, distressed, and special situations transactions. Before this role, he worked BPER Banca where he executed large corporate debt restructuring deals. He graduated from LUM with an MSc in Administration, Finance, and Accounting and holds an Executive Master in Corporate Finance and Credit Analysis from SDA Bocconi.

Nicola Lesica

Associate

Prior to joining Apeiron in 2020, Nicola worked at Jefferies within the TMT investment banking team. He graduated from Bocconi University with a BSc in Management and holds an MSc in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics.

Jacopo Marostegan

Associate

Before joining Apeiron in 2022, Jacopo was an analyst at KPMG involved in corporate restructuring and special situations. He graduated from the University of Padua with a BSc in Management and holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

Emanuele Sessa

Analyst

Before joining Apeiron in 2023, Emanuele worked at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento, where he was involved in private equity investments in technology companies. Previously, he worked at HSBC within the Global Banking team. He holds a BSc in Business Administration & Management and a MSc in Finance from Bocconi University.

Lucia Grandini

Office Manager

Lucia joined Apeiron Management in 2018. In her career, she has had the opportunity to support C-level executives and their teams across a variety of industries and in multi-cultural settings. Lucia brings a wealth of experience gained as an executive assistant in top tier multinational companies, including IBM, Accenture, Lenovo, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Bracco.

Martina Monese

Assistant

Martina joined Apeiron in 2023. Previously, she worked as executive assistant at Acone Associati, where she was responsible for operations and administrative projects. Throughout her career, she also gained extensive experience in supporting trading and TMT companies.
